Okay. Exams are over and it's the mid-year holidays, it's about time I drag my butt off bed and type a new post. A lot of events have happened lately and I didn't have the time to post it so I'll do it now, chronologically. Ahh... let's start with Sports Day!
Sports Day was on Friday the 13th and Saturday the 14th of April at, where else if not Jubilee Ground. It's nearer to my school and has a smaller grandstand with sucky toilets.. eww, say no more cause I can smell it from hear. Lol. It's easy to move around to. Woke up early, was anxious. haha. Put sunblock in the car and got my hands all oily and my hands smelled like coconut because the lotion was coconut-flavoured. First day, I was in my 2007 AMETHYST t-shirt. Got dinosaur at the front arh! Don't prray, prray. And the artistic AMETHYST logo at the back, to bad it was kinda small. Don't have a clear picture of the shirt, but you'll see. The motto 'AMETHYST ANNIHILATES' (checks dictionary) was printed at the front of Amethyst shirts. I hope that motto remains in the years to come.. sob sob, i only have one more year left. How fast time flies.
As usual, the march pass and after that rushed to register for my first event. The Javelin. My main opponent was Marlene. Oh well, I tried not to be intimidated by her because was the only one who knew how to throw the javelin as well as I do. Plus, I won last year despite being a rookie and not practising much. Lol. Finished second though... haha. By 20cm lidat nia.. apalah.. I'll be back. Revenge is sweet..haha.

In action. Looks like I'm floating in air while running. haha.At the end of the two days, I was somehow happy with what I've achieved. I bagged 5 out of 5 medals. I joined 5 events which is the max number of events every athlete is allowed to participate. 3 individual events and 2 group events.

Bronze: Discus

A view from the grandstand (podium section). L-R: Amber, Amethyst, Diamond, Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire.My events kinda clashed so I rushed at one and quickly went to the other. I'm proud of my Steffi! She's small sized and she sprinted and overtook like.. almost everyone but one person during the 4x100m relay, that's how we got 2nd place. If it wasn't for her, we'd be... worse than 2nd. lol. Of course I got sunburns after sports day. I even needed ice to cool down my face on Friday. Oh, the heat. I remembered after running the 4x400 relay my head felt like it was gonna explode. Lack of oxygen I suppose. After Friday's, I went to youth meeting :P ..
After Saturday's, went straight for my music lesson. Saturday evening, went for dinner with cousins. Thai food!.. He was leaving for NZ.
That night at dinner. It took me a rather long time to finish this. Thanks to slow uploading and a crazy internet connection.
